Langhorne Slim has not had an easy ride. The band was signed in 2006 (under the name Langhorne Slim and the War Eagles) only to be dropped by their label in the same year. The band released a self-titled album in 2008 and made their way to Lollapalooza in 2009. As folk has gained popularity so has the band with lead singed Sean Scolnick, aka Langhorne Slim, of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Langhorne Slim’s haunting voice captures you with his gospel-infused southern sound. He is a great story teller – love, loss, and the open road. His songs are on the melancholy side but his foot-stops and whoops have your clapping along – or dancing in your seat at the office. Their LP “The Way We Move” will be available June 5th and I can’t wait!
